HOLY COW, IT IS OFFICIAL WE ARE ONE!
We survived a year and it was a Fabolous ONE!
What a year it has been (and a fast ONE too)!
It brings tears to my eyes, thinking back to the journey to y'alls arrival: The day of your arrival ONE year ago today, the 25 days in the NICU, the FIRST day you both arrived home, the nights on the heart rate monitors, the "shift" work for sleeping and feeding schedules, the FIRST time you sat up, FIRST time you both babbled, FIRST time you both smiled, the FIRST time you rolled over (on the same day), the FIRST day you crawled, the FIRST day you laughed, the FIRST time for cereal; the FIRST time you both slept thru the night; the FIRST time in the BOB; the FIRST time we said your names and you recognized them; the FIRST time you ate "real food"; the FIRST time you said "DaDa" (yep that was both of your "FIRST" words); the FIRST of all the Holidays; especially this one today FIRST BIRTHDAY!
*Walking Behind Walkers - everywhere and anywhere
*Pulling up on everything
*Exploring (the ENTIRE house)
*LOVE Mimi's Split pea soup
*Playing with each other - stealing each others toys - making each other laugh
*Love being read books to (Cash you really prefer ripping out the pages of the books while your brother actually enjoys hearing the stories and looking at the pages
*Techy Babies - oh yes, you both have a love for iphones, ipads, and remotes (your Dad brought you each and old Blackberry to play with - and you both thought it was Christmas)
* Food - still taking 3 to 4 bottles a day (Cash you still are the better bottle taker; Walker you like food, your pretty much over the bottle and just want the good stuff); (your Dad and I are ready for the formula to be gone to - can you say "raise"!)
*Love Baby Einstein - the videos seem to put you both into a trance!
*You both love to be places you should not be aka the Fire place! You both crawl over there - look back, grin and then proceed to try to crawl into the fireplace! We say no you laugh, and continue to proceed until we remove you and say NO, NO again (without laughing at your devilish grins...most of the time)
*You both are still wearing Pamper #4s during the day and Huggie #4 night times at night
*Clothes 12 month for the most part (depending on the brand)
*Still Solid Sleepers - Thank you boys! (you go to bed around 7:45/8 pm most nights and sleep until 6:30/7:45 most days).
*Still 2 naps a day (morning and afternoon) and when you aren't on your schedules you can be Bears!
*You both are seriously 2 of the very happiest, squeezable, kissable, Loveable babies ever and you make us PROUD each and every day to call you our sons!
The Twin Breakdown...
Since Cash, you were born FIRST (by one minute) we will start with you.
*Our Wild Man - you already love to push ALL the limits and think your smile and personality will get you places (remind you of anyone...Mark Jr)!!
*8 Teeth - yeah you almost have a mouth full
*Love to Crawl into buckets, behind the couches, and push your walker at "rapid" speeds
*When you don't get your way or are told "no" you now enjoy throwing yourself on the ground like a drama king (hmmm Reese Jr?!)
*Still love taking anything Walker has and claiming it as yours
*love to cuddle at night
*Enjoy sleeping with a blanket (which has holes) over your head (hmmm...Your mom still sleeps like that to this day!)
last but never least, WALKER!
*Loving FOOD. Some of your current favorites: Hummus, avocado, Cheese (the good stuff i.e. gouda's, white cheddars, etc), twice baked potatoes, and Mimi's Split Pea Soup
*Moving fast with your walking toys
*Love books and being read to
*Like taking your Bottle in "increments" (take some, take a break, take some more, play, take some more)
*5 teeth and more on their way!
*You love sleeping on your back
*Snuggling to read a book before you go to bed
*You love being held/carried around when your tired - we love holding you too
*You love shoving a ton of puffs in your mouth at one time (you scare us when you do this - but you think it is funny)
*You are currently into "biting" the couch, outdoor coffee table, the nipple on your bottle - must feel pretty good on those teeth
*You love the tupperware cabinet - what kid doesn't?!
*Love to stand at the window or door; bang on it; until someone sees you and smiles at you!
You both are truly the very best!
You guys have changed your Dad and I forever! We always were hopeful that God would ONE day bless us with children and today we thank Him again and again for blessing us with the two of you!
Cash and Walker - you are our hearts and souls, we have loved Every single ONE of these "FIRSTS" that we have experienced this year; it has been beyond a fabulous FIRST year!
To our Babies (you will always be our babies for the record),
