Skype Shower - How 2011 is that?!

There is always a first time for everything right?!  Well a few weeks back - "Skype" was introduced to me, and I must say our first "Skyping" Experience was an unforgettable one....

Mark and I were recently thrown a "SKYPE SHOWER" - I mean how 2011 is that?!

Diane and Bill's northeast friends and our NE family gathered togethered for a Shower for Mark and I, they had Diane do all thier gift shopping before the Shower and then "We Skyped" as we opened gifts!  They had "shower food", flowers, decor (we got a video tour of the entire set-up); it was like we were there!

We received so many wonderful things (adorable outfits, bumpers for the cribs, a stroller seat, diapers, bibs, and a whole lot more)!

To all the Skype Hostesses and Attendees, Thank You all so very much for Spoiling Our Boys and Mark and I!

Guardian Angels

I truly believe that we all have Guardian Angels that watch over us.

A few weeks ago, Mark and I had a "visit" from one of Guardian Angels, Maw-Maw (my grandmother).

It has been long ongoing tradition in our family for Maw-Maw to stitch a baby blanket when one of her children/grandchildren were expecting babies. When my grandmother passed away in 2009 the tradition did not stop there. Mom and Aunt Margie picked up where Maw-Maw left off and continued the tradition.  They continued to sew the blankets for the grand babies who arrived after my grandma passed away.

With the Twins upcoming arrival, I figured Aunt Margie would be a very busy person having to sew away at 2 blankets for the twins, and she was! She gave Mark and I a beautiful blanket for one of the babies.  (Picture will be coming)....

And then she handed us a second bag, and my initial thought was "Yep, she has been sowing like crazy, baby blanket #2, here it comes, and we can't wait to see it"!

And yes, inside of the bag was another baby blanket. But this time there was a card that Aunt Margie asked Mark to read...with tears in his eyes he read the following...
Mark & Jacqueline,
I knew that this time would come.  I knew that God would bless you with children. I also knew that I might not be with you as you awaited this blessing. Knowing this, I planned ahead and stitched this quilt for your child.
This stitching was done with deep love for you and your family. I am not physically with you, but I am watching over you.  I am with you and will be there for you in and through my love for you.  I know that you will be loving & good parents.

The Blanket Maw-Maw Stitched
It may sound crazy, but the card, just like the blanket, had my grandmother's touch, it had her slightly shaky signature on the bottom, the words were said as if she were sitting right there and saying them to us.  I think we all felt her spirit in the room with us as we held and admired the blanket that she had sown.  I know every time I hold that blanket I will feel Maw-Maw's presence and I believe our Boys will too.

This blanket is something Mark and I will always cherish and I know our Boys will both grow up and one day learn about how much they were loved and looked over even before they were born.

A Guardian Angel is defined as a spirit that is believed to look over and protect a person or a place.

I am a firm believer that our Boys already have at least 2 Guardian Angels that are already looking of over them from above...Maw-Maw and Kevin.

We Thank God daily for all the wonderful memories we have of both of these Angels when they were with us. And we know in heart of hearts that these Angels are with us every step of the way in new memories that we will all make in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead!

We give Thanks to God daily for these 2 Guardian Angels and cherish the fact that We know they are looking over our Boys!

Maw-Maw and Kevin, we love you both dearly and miss you both every single day!
