It's the most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Christmas Season really one of the Most Wonderful Times of the year! Celebrating Jesus's Birthday, Spending time with Family and Friends, Eating (way too much), relaxing 'cause you can, and just enjoying all the blessings of the year and looking forward to all the adventures the New Year will bring! That's exactly how Christmas went this year, it was a Wonderful Celebration!

We kicked off the Christmas festivities with fun night out to see the "Zoo Light"s on the Saturday night, December 22nd with Natalie, Casey, Ashton, Reese, Eli, Mimi, Mo, Nana, Mark, Cash, Walker and me! Many of the animals were "sleeping" but we still managed to see a few and check out all the lights!

We went to the "Lee Zoo" I mean the Houston Zoo....

Zoo Lights may just have to become a new Christmas Tradition - it was good time had by all!

Christmas Eve!
Mark and I went to Mass (Diane and Bill watched the boys who were still fighting colds, ear infections, etc so figured why further subject them to more germs) and then we came home - ate some delicious Seafood Stew, and proceed to get to work on toy assembly (looking back we probably should have started this earlier in the month, but why do that - its much more fun to have to stay up and assemble the night before Christmas, right?!).  It was fun. Lots of laughs with Nana and PopPop the pictures explain it all (note to self - invest in an electric air pump in the near future).

Christmas Morning!
The boys woke up at 7:30 and the fun began! They were Very Happy when they woke up, they may only be 1 years old, but they new Santa had come to town!

I think the boys were a bit taken back by the new toys and presents and a bit perplexed by what they were "suppose" to do, but they managed to get in the middle of everything, unwrap a few things, play with paper, boxes, and of course their new toys (as did we)!

Santa brought them a Geo Gym....they are still getting use to exactly what to do with it, they did figure out the "tunnel" pretty quick - they love going in and out and playing peak a boo in it!

And then of course Nana and PopPop, Dave and Donna spoiled them "just a bit" more with a ton of fun toys...individuals wagons, talking piggy bank, a new ball pit, and books, to name a few.
Christmas morning was great!

Christmas Afternoon/Evening!
Christmas morning was just beginning...after naps we loaded up and headed to Mimi and Mo's for Christmas lunch and more presents! The whole crew was there Natalie, Casey, Ashton, Reese, Eli, Mimi, Mo, Nana, PopPop, Mark, Cash, Walker and me.

We started off with appetizer and gifts (which progressed thru much of the afternoon).

Mimi and Mo gave all the grandkids Bean Bags - as you can see Walker loved vegging in his!

Ashton and Reese LOVED helping everyone open gifts and continued to entertain us all with their dancing, commentary, and just them being their fun selves - we love our Ashton and Reese (and Eli too)!

Yet again, it was afternoon of being completely spoiled (all of us)...from Cozy Coups (and trailers that attach), to "Big" Style Piano's - this one is a "Mimi and Mo house only item" :), to caterpillar and duck toys that they boys love to pull around (until I cut the string on them) - now they are pushing toys, to stockings that were completely stuffed...it was a very toyfilled Christmas!

In between all the gifts, we ate Lasagna by our very own Pioneer Woman (Natalie Lee) - it was delicious!!

Best part of the entire day, we were all together to celebrate, eat, drink and be Merry!

On December 26th, we had another mini Christmas Celebration Nan and Aunt Margie came to Texas.  Our visit was so very enjoyable, we are always very Thankful for them making the road trip to Houston to see all of us it is makes the Holidays !

It really is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Christmas 2012...one word: Wonderful!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

BIG BIRTHDAY!

Tis' the Season for Celebrations!
Today we celebrate a Big Day (no the world is not coming to end as the Mayans calendar suggests)...its a BIG day because we are Celebrating
Mom's (aka Mimi's) Big SIXTIETH Birthday!
First and foremost, Mom WE ALL LOVE YOU dearly and look forward to celebrating TODAY with you and all the years to come!
So while Mom wanted to keep the day "normal", "low key", just another Birthday (And I should say her daughters did comply); her friends at work started the day with a Bang! How about putting flyers into all the teachers boxes to notify them of the Special Day?!  And how about making sure her office was decorated instyle?!  Take a look...

The Celebration continued at Mimi and Mo's house where we did a low key Mexican FIESTA with all the family.  A few pictures of the Fun!

One of the specials gifts for the Birthday Girl...
A Book we think she will cherish forever, thanks to so many of her friends and family that took time and sent a birthday wish and/or a memory through the years.  I have to admit the book is not cool, it is AWESOME!

I reflect today that our family is so very fortunate. Natalie and I are beyond blessed that our Mom is an Awesome Mom and Mimi, but on top of that she is a Great Best Friend to us!
We love all of our time we get to spend together and cherish that we are all together to Celebrate this special Day!

Mom, Much Love today and All the Years to Come!
60 years, gotta say,
You look AWESOME!  Life isn't good, it is GREAT!
